NB: Chart Samples were made using Family Tree Super Tools. Charts can also be made from Family Tree Maker and Legacy.
Ancestor and Descendant Charts orientation;
- Left to Right.
- Right to Left.
- Top to Bottom.

Descendant Charts orientation also includes -
- Left to right can be either standard or waterfall style.
- Top to bottom can be either US Style or UK Style.

Hourglass Charts
- Orientation - Right, Left, Top-Bottom.

For Ancestor, Descendant and Hourglass Charts;
- Choose text, box border and lines - colour, size and style.
- Choose the person type to include eg - focus, spouses, ancestors.
- Colour by generation or accents.
- Change Chart title formatting and position.
- Choose between Caps, No Caps, All Caps for name line.
- Select box text centred, left or right.
- Add a box shadow or frame.
- Add Researcher box details.
- Add clip art or photos. Photos can be edited 1st to include text and cropped to various shapes.
- Add a favourite photo as a centred background up to A1 size. A landscape photo works best on a Portrait Chart. Photo edges can be faded to blend into the page.
- Include siblings, exclude living persons, show duplicated persons.
Fan Charts
- Choose from Full Circle (360deg), Half Circle (180deg) etc.
- Choose the number of generations for curved middle text.
- Choose style, font or colour for lines, text and title.
- Add researcher box details.
